!La Vida Creativa!
music, dance and art ... with a Latin twist
Pintemos-Let's Paint!  
(18 months to 3 years old)
... Unleash your child’s inner Picasso
while introducing them to Spanish ...

This class is part of our "La Vida Creativa" bilingual program where we introduce
children to the language and culture of Spanish-speaking countries through art, dance and
music.

First there was Bailemos-Let's Dance, then Cantemos-Let's Sing and now Pintemos-Let's
Paint.

From the child's perspective, he/she will have a great time exploring a world of color with
paints, crayons, play doh and more.

From a parent's perspective, your child will also be introduced to Spanish language as our
native Spanish-speaking teacher will describe the colors and projects that we do in class in
both English and Spanish.

There will be Latin music playing throughout the class and a Spanish song and story time to
unwind at the end of class.

For the Winter session, we will be using the book Animals/Animales by Eric Carle as the
inspiration for our collage projects.

The outline of the class is:

1.  PlayDoh as children arrive;
2.  Sing and play instruments to a Spanish song or Latin Dance music;
3.  Painting - we will learn the name of one color in Spanish each week and, after painting
with that color, we will bring out lots of different colors as we unleash our inner Picassos!;
4.  Bubble time - blowing bubbles to Latin music;
5.  Collage time - using tissue paper and glue, each week we will be inspired by the book of
the session, Animals/Animales by Eric Carle.
6.  One final song - We Did It - Lo Hicimos - with Dora the Explorer!

The children's collage projects will be bound together to create their own book which they
will receive at the end of the Winter session.
